 With an iPhone, you pay more for a larger screen, newer (faster) processor, better cameras (improved low light performance, more lenses ), more gigabytes of storage. Features get added to newer models (eg, crash detection, emergency satellite phone) that aren’t available on earlier (less expensive) models. I use my smart phone for several hours each day, including for many work-related tasks. It’s my only camera, how I listen to music 90% of the time, and I also use it for hobbies. Thus, I’m not averse to spending more.
